Have you ever lost connection to QuickBooks Desktop after a software or Windows OS update? If you were connected before and now cannot connect, there is a very simple and easy way to be connected again.

If you receive this error when trying to connect to QuickBooks after your update the best way to get reconnected is to open up QuickBooks and sign into your company file.

After signing in, push the F2 key to open up your product information window. Once opened copy the company file location.

Once copied open up the QuickBooks settings in D-Tools SI and click on browse.

Now in the file name box, paste your company file location you copied from earlier and click open.

Now just save and close this window and you will be connected to QuickBooks again.
