AudioQuest PowerQuest 303, 505, & 707 Power Conditioners

AudioQuest’s new PowerQuest 303, 505, and 707 are high-performance power conditioners with Linear Noise-Dissipation, Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection, Extreme-Voltage Shutdown, and 12 AC outlets (4 High-Current outlets for amplifiers and 8 Linear-Filtered outlets for source components).

 

Each PowerQuest model ships with a 2m detachable AC power cable and 2RU rack ears. For installers, this means a PowerQuest can go from the box to the rack in mere minutes.

 

The detachable power cable (PQ-415 for the 303; PQ-715 for the 505 and 707) uses AudioQuest’s high-purity Semi-Solid Long-Grain Copper conductor metal in which strands are packed more tightly and never change position within the bundle, significantly reducing strand-interaction distortion. Long-Grain Copper further minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries that exist within any metal conductor. The PowerQuest 707 also adds Transient Power Correction, in which a current reservoir delivers up to 45 amps peak on-demand power for any amplifier, providing the current the amp needs to produce thrilling dynamic contrasts, bass extension, and control. 

 

PowerQuest’s important protection features include Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection and Extreme Voltage Shutdown, keeping itself and the attached valuable components safe from common daily micro-spikes as well as potentially catastrophic power surges. Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection withstands multiple strikes of 6000V or 3000A — the maximum that can survive through a building’s AC electrical panel — without damage. Extreme Voltage Shutdown activates the main circuit relay in under 0.25 seconds when presented with 140VAC, and automatically resets once that incoming voltage is within a safe range.

JVC announces a free firmware update for its current line of D-ILA projectors that includes the second generation of the company’s acclaimed Frame Adapt HDR to deliver a significant boost in HDR picture quality.With the firmware update Frame Adapt HDR, which analyzes HDR10 images on a frame-by-frame basis and performs optimum tone mapping, provides higher quality than ever and a more three-dimensional picture. The update will be available in mid-November.

Frame Adapt HDR, which was first offered in October 2019, instantaneously analyzes the peak brightness of HDR10 content for each scene or frame using a unique algorithm to automatically adjust the dynamic range to the optimum for video projection. This function dramatically improves the reproducibility of HDR content on projectors and has been highly praised by home theater fans around the world.

The new firmware update incorporates second-generation Frame Adapt HDR, and with this enhancement the tone mapping algorithm is fundamentally reexamined to suppress the peak white information in the high brightness area and produce HDR images with higher definition and a more three-dimensional appearance.

Additionally, for the DLA-NZ9/RS4100, DLA-NZ8/RS3100 and DLA-NZ7/RS2100, which are equipped with JVC's unique BLU-Escent laser light source technology, the light source adjustment steps have been increased from three steps to 100 steps. Symetrix’s Newest Touchscreen Controller, T-7 Glass, Now Shipping

Symetrix is proud to announce the immediate availability and shipping of its newest system control product, the T-7 Glass touchscreen.

“The response to our 5-inch and 10-inch touchscreens was phenomenal and this new 7-inch model rounds out the line,” said Quinn Klarer, Symetrix Product Manager.

The T-7 Glass features a 1280x800 pixel high-definition screen with best-in-class brightness. These IP devices can connect directly to PoE-enabled switches—forgoing the need or an external power supply—or to a digital signal processor using an included PoE injector.

“Our approach to system control is different than some other suppliers,” Quinn said. “The T-7 Glass, like the rest of the line, supports multiple custom user interface screens without licensing fees.”

Shipping late October: Theory Audio Design’s First Architectural Subwoofers

Premium audio brand, Theory Audio Design has announcedthe iws12-6 and iws12-9 – the company’s first architectural subwoofers – will begin shipping before the end of the month. Equipped with 12-inch, 1,400 Watt,4-inch voice coil long throw woofers, and the ability to be installed in-wall, on-wall, in-room, ceiling mounted, or flown, there isn’t an installation environment Theory’s new subwoofer models cannot handle.

Along with their spherical PMD, they have used a robust 6-1/2 woofer resulting in amazing clarity, dynamics, and most importantly off axis consistency. shipping with both round and square bezel-less grille, the ICI6 has an optional flush mount kit available directly from SeeLess.
