There are very few if any companies in the integration industry that have built a culture like Origin Acoustics. The Las Vegas-based firm’s dedication to its dealers and to its employees is evident, and it is a big reason for its astronomic success in the market. But how do you go about creating the type of company culture that is envied throughout the industry?
Marc Fisher, president of Origin Acoustics, pulled back the curtain during the most recent D-Tools “What’s the Buzz” podcast and provided a glimpse into what makes Origin Acoustics so successful.
“Our culture is very unique,” says Fisher. “Our culture is about collaboration, authenticity and really most importantly it’s about putting the people first. We are very deeply committed to listening closely to our partners and getting feedback. It helps us create the best solutions for them and helps us deliver on what really matters to them, which is quality, innovation and service.”
"You have to take time to listen to your customers, and I think in our industry that is not done every day."

He continues, “You have to take time to listen to your customers and I think in our industry that is not done every day. We actually take a lot of time to listen to our customers and implement what they need.”
But Fisher admits that the commitment does not pertain to Origin’s customers, but also internally.
“We are a really close-knit team of about 50 people. In our company it’s about respect, it’s about creativity, it’s about holding each other accountable to the highest standards, but at the same time keeping it fun and approachable,” adds Fisher.
In the podcast, he also delves into some of the partnerships the company has created, including with brands like Ambisonic Systems, Bang & Olufsen, Artnovion Acoustics and D-Tools.
“We’ve always taken a thoughtful approach to our partnerships at Origin. Each one is absolutely unique but there is definitely a common thread. We are trying to find companies that share the same values and commitment to both our design-centric technology and the way that we treat our people. And it has to blend into what we are doing,” he explains.
Fisher says once those key partnerships are in place, they have been successful for both Origin Acoustics and the partner.
Lastly, Fisher briefly discussed some of the new products coming from the company, including BLENDS invisible speakers in Q1, a new hexagon outdoor bollard speaker from Ambisonic, and also upgraded its home theater speaker offerings to now include the Ambisonic Marquee in-wall planar-ribbon speakers.
At the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 event in Barcelona February 4-7, Origin will be holding an evening event on Thursday, February 6. To get more information, contact one of the company’s many international distributors that will be exhibiting at the show. D-Tools will be at ISE in Stand 2L500.
