EASY 4K AV OVER IP SOLUTION FROM ALFATRON ELECTRONICS

Our latest edition 4K networked AV over IP encoder and decoder units adopt the latest high efficiency H.265 video codec supporting resolutions up to 4K@30Hz with MPEG4-AAC and LPCM stereo audio outputs. A built-in scaler provides for fast and seamless switching between encoder sources and preview management via the free to download V-Director application for iOS, Android, and Windows. RS-232 throughput is supported either from the encoder to decoder, or from the V-Director application directly for sending control commands to the display device. The system also supports control over IP or RS-232 with commands from 3^rd party devices. Lastly the system also features CEC and both encoders and decoders are powered over POE but have the option for local PSU input as well.

When it comes to the network setup, the system is simplified as it does not require any complex switch setup, VLan configurations or IGMP snooping settings. A simple non-managed network switch is all you need. Simply connect the encoders and decoders to the switch via CAT5E or better cabling and connect the sources and displays via HDMI. Then, open the V-Director app and it will discover the devices available on the network. A Simple drag and drop assigns sources to displays via the app.

Our AV over IP solutions are used in applications from point-to-point video distribution, IP Video matrix switching and video wall applications and can be deployed in a variety of applications, including conference venues, sports bars, auditoriums, multipurpose halls, video signage and general video distribution.

AtlasIED, NSCA, and PASS Announce Ivey's Everyday Heroes Program

AtlasIED and National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) Education Foundation have created a joint grant program called Ivey’s Everyday Heroes. The program’s mission is to provide financial support to individuals in schools throughout the United States who have selflessly acted in ways to keep others safe during emergency situations.

Students and faculty have been empowered to be part of the safety team through speaking up and reporting potential risks. Through Ivey’s Everyday Heroes this grant encourages more voices, more awareness, more communication amongst the school community. Everyday heroes can step up to deter, delay detect, and be a leader in planning, practicing, and preparing our schools against senseless acts of violence.

Johnathan Ivey, president of AtlasIED, has instilled in his company values the importance of creating solutions that enhance school safety. “Children should not feel fear or threatened when at school. Schools are supposed to be a safe place. But over the past decades, school violence has increased and it’s unacceptable. The technology that we developed, first under my father’s guidance and now under mine,” Ivey says, “is just a small contribution to help reduce active lethal threats in schools. Ivey’s Everyday Heroes, developed in memory of my father, Loyd Ivey, is designed to help recognize students, staff, and educators who have exhibited heroic and selfless acts to keep others safe.”

Chuck Wilson, CEO of NSCA and Board Chairman at PASS K12, helped Ivey develop the Ivey’s Everyday Heroes program. “As one of the founders of the PASS K12 program, school and student safety has always been part of my personal mission. Having been in the technology field for decades, I know that our industry has influence and is effective in protecting individuals through the products and solutions it develops. It was a natural fit for me then to take it a step further with PASS K12, to help define how the technology can be used to enhance safety and security. PASS K12 created the guidelines using an ‘all hazards’ approach to address everyday concerns.” Wilson adds, “Then when John approached me to help develop this Everyday Heroes program, I knew it was the next step for us to give back in this way.”

It’s important to note that every day, PASS K12 guidelines and check lists have made an impact on safety and awareness at schools; so much so that states have started including PASS K12 guidelines in their school safety legislation. Ivey’s Everyday Heroes will be administered through the PASS K12 organization and candidates will be identified through an application process. The application process and review board are under development, with additional details scheduled to be released soon. AtlasIED and the Ivey family’s first donation will allow the initiation of the program and for the first grants to be distributed. Smart Buildings Need Converged Communications Infrastructure

Getting started with the RF Explorer Pro

Once the unit is connected to the network, the screen of the RF Explorer Pro will appear in the VNC client app, along with all the touchscreen functions, which you may click with your mouse. D1290 12-Channel Digital Amplifier

Russound continues its aggressive product launches set for 2024 with the new D1290 12-Channel Digital Amplifier. Designed to expand an audio system into more rooms or zones or to add increased audio output for larger rooms or outdoor areas where a higher output volume is required, the amp is distinguished by its source and control flexibility, multi-channel power, and easy-to-configure audio filter options. In creating the Russound D1290, the company succeeded in its key design goal: reducing the size of the amplifier while boosting its feature set. This model utilizes an advanced digital design that results in a smaller chassis size than in any previous generation of Russound amplifiers, while delivering up to 90 watts per channel. The D1290 12-channel model is only 1U in height.

Proof of the company’s commitment to adding more features, the D1290 amplifier includes new, easily configurable audio filter options to custom tailor the audio output for the desired application. Any stereo pair, zone, or bridged speaker connection can be set to output three different options: Full Range Sound, which allows for a typical full range of sound between 20Hz and 20kHz to the connected loudspeaker(s). Low Pass Filter allows the connected speakers to only receive low frequency audio signals, from about 20Hz to 160Hz, perfect for supporting passive subwoofers that are adding extra bass to the room. By filtering the output, the D1290 can more efficiently support only the frequencies that the subwoofer can support, allowing for much more efficient, robust, and dynamic sound. Finally, there is the High Pass Filter, which allows the zone or channel to focus on only the higher frequencies, from 80Hz and up, and not waste energy on lower frequency sounds that the speaker can’t provide and can clutter the room’s audio with unwanted bass or standing waves.

Insight Series IA-8 DSP Eight Channel Amplifier

Designed and built in the United States, the IA-8 DSP is a compact 2RU amplifier that delivers eight channels of high-performance amplification at 125W RMS per channel into eight ohms and 250W per channel into four ohms, all channel-driven. This DSP model adds a DSP board, enabling all eight channels to provide user EQ, delay, gain, FIR Filters, and digital EQ profiles for our Insight Series and Subwoofers, in addition to Generic Speakers and Subwoofers.
