Versatile configuration options in a compact form factor

Alfatron Electronics, a manufacturer of products for the AV market, is pleased to introduce the MA15075D Compact Digital Mixing Amplifier. Ideal for a wide range of commercial installed sound environments, the new MA15075D combines convenient digital mixing capability with a versatile power amplifier designed for low or high impedance applications—all in a compact, rack mountable 1RU form factor.

The MA15075D offers a mode selector switch that enables the amplifier to deliver either two channels of audio at 75 watts per channel into 4 or 8 Ω loudspeakers, or a single channel of 150 watts at 70 or 100 V for use with distributed systems. Equally notable, the MA15075D is a Class-D amplifier design that provides power efficiency and energy-saving attributes, making it an ideal choice for many applications. In addition to the unit’s amplified loudspeaker outputs, the MA15075D provides a balanced line level audio output that enables the mixed audio signals to be sent to an additional amplifier or other audio system should the need arise, such as to an adjacent room.

When it comes to accommodating different types of audio input and output signals, the new MA15075D offers selectable low or high-impedance operation. In addition to providing two Dante audio inputs and one optical audio input, the system provides a stereo balanced analog input and two balanced microphone inputs utilizing Euroblock connectors. For outputs, the amplifier provides two balanced line level outputs, a stereo Low Impedance amp output, and one 70V/100V amplifier output.

The MA15075D offers a rich feature set that further enhances its operation and versatility. The system’s audio sampling rate is 48 kHz / 24-bit to offer the equivalent of high-definition audio and there are two rear panel input level controls for setting the input gain for the two microphones inputs. The amplifier also offers automatic standby after a period of inactivity to minimize power consumption as well as low inrush current to prevent audible ‘thumps’ when multiple amps are powered on simultaneously. Further, the MA15075D provides integrated DSP functionality in the form of a 5-band graphic equalizer for fine tuning the sound of the audio passing through the unit.

For intuitive control and operation of the MA15075D, the system provides a GUI Webserver with TCP/IP control for remote control or third-party integration. Equally notable, the amplifier offers a rear panel trigger port to provide external mute/ unmute capability. To further ensure easy operation, the MA15075D’s front panel includes signal status LEDs for power, a panel button lock, audio source indicators, a mute switch, and real-time volume level meters.

AtlasIED announced the launch of its new Rapid Alert system, which includes the IP-PB wearable panic button and the IP-RC BLE-controlled relay board. This system is designed to enhance emergency communication and integrates seamlessly with AtlasIED’s IPX IP Endpoints, providing immediate accessibility to trigger notifications during critical events.

The IP-PB panic button is worn on a lanyard and connects wirelessly to the IP-RC relay board via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). In emergency situations, users can press the panic button to activate notifications, including pre-programmed alerts that play throughout the facility. These notifications can be distributed through InformaCast or Revolution, ensuring that relevant personnel are promptly informed of the incident.

“The Rapid Alert system represents a remarkable advancement in enhancing emergency response capabilities,” said Michael Peveler, VP of Sales for AtlasIED. “By integrating reliable wireless communication with our IPX Series, the system ensures quick and effective responses during critical situations. The system is composed of two core components. The wearable IP-PB panic button utilizes BLE 5.0 Ultra Wide Band communication to provide a reliable wireless connection. It features a lithium-ion battery with a lifespan of up to three years and is IP67 rated, making it both durable and resistant to environmental factors. The IP-RC BLE-controlled relay board connects directly to the IPX Series control boards and offers two relay closures that can be configured to trigger specific actions across the network. This capability enables users to initiate customized notifications for different emergency scenarios.

The system is designed to support multiple activation sequences to meet different response protocols. A quick double press of the button on the IP-PB activates one relay, while six or more button presses can automatically trigger a lockdown and immediately notify stakeholders and responders. This customization of emergency responses offers exceptional flexibility.

The Rapid Alert system integrates easily into existing AtlasIED IPX Series devices, ensuring seamless operation across various commercial environments and further proving the capability of AtlasIED’s Security Technology Solutions Ecosystem. It is ideal for schools, hospitals, industrial facilities, and corporate offices, where clear and timely communication is crucial during emergencies. The addition of the IP-PB enables AtlasIED to become Alyssa’s Law compliant in the United States, meeting the legislative requirements implemented in select states.

Reduce cable clutter with slim HDMI cables

With a smaller diameter than standard HDMI cables, Tripp Lite series slim high-speed HDMI cables with Ethernet reduce cable clutter in home theaters and crowded AV racks and patch panels. Pro Audio Technology & Theory Audio Design Strengthen Sales Force  

In his new role as US Residential Applications and Business Development Architect, Ryan Porter brings a lifetime of AV experience to the companies.

Performance audio brands Pro Audio Technology (PRO), and Theory Audio Design (Theory), have hired industry veteran, Ryan Porter, as US Residential Applications and Business Development Architect for the two companies. Ryan joins PRO and Theory with 35 years of experience in AV.

Ryan’s passion for live sound began at a young age at church, school, and in community theater, which led him to study stage lighting and technical sound at Bakersfield College. After college, Ryan landed a job with a home electronics retailer, which ignited a career path in AV. But it was in 2007, when Ryan attended his first CEDIA Expo that he discovered his passion for custom integration, designing, and installing whole-home systems.

Since then, Ryan has continued to hone his expertise in residential AV working at two established integration companies before joining Southern California independent manufacturer’s rep firm, ByDesign Vision and Sound Marketing (ByDesign), in 2020. As a regional sales representative, Ryan focused on territory growth, business development, and supporting both emerging and established firms. Ryan also played a pivotal role in designing and building out the new ByDesign experience center and training facility in Gardena, CA.

While at ByDesign, Ryan represented the PRO and Theory brands and became an instant advocate. “I am an honest person and can only sell what I believe in. With PRO and Theory, it was a no brainer because the products speak for themselves in terms of build quality and performance,” said Porter. “After many years of educating the Southern California market on the benefits of integrating PRO and Theory into their audio projects, it feels extremely natural and rewarding to step into my new role working directly with the brands. I am eager to start collaborating with and supporting our rep teams, dealers, and industry partners, driving success together all while expanding the brands’ national footprint.”
