How OneButton Uses D-Tools to Power Its Sales Process

 

OneButton, with offices in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Marina del Rey, Calif., is a 14-person custom integration company that specializes in high-end, whole-house smart home installations. Among its many areas of expertise, the company is on the cutting-edge in terms of human-centric lighting and motorized shade control... both of which are sophisticated and complex solutions for discriminating clientele. To keep its entire sales process on track, including integrating with architectural drawings, OneButton has relied on D-Tools System Integrator (SI) for the past 6 years for its sales proposals, sales management, change orders, project management and service. 

About half of the company’s employees interact with D-Tools, including those in sales, design, accounting and purchasing roles.

According to sales manager Marisa Marouche at OneButton, the company is able to create clean and concise OneButton-branded proposals for clients using D-Tools.

“We put everything in packages versus doing line items of component in the proposal,” she says. “Using D-Tools has helped us be more efficient and accurate with our proposal process. Because of that, we are able to export proposals in a more timely fashion. We find at the end of the project that the scope of the project is closer to what we initially designed.”

Marouche says her two favorite features of D-Tools SI are the Solutions module that allows her to create packaged systems for customers, and the Project Management module that allows her to track the status of the job.
