2014 Design Awards Winners & Finalists
Thanks to everyone who participated in our 2014 Design Awards. We had a record number of entries and we had some great representative works of our solution.

All entries included a project description and designs were created in D-Tools software.
Winners were individually selected by the D-Tools Executive team based on the information provided on the entry. Winning entries were judged on a number of criteria, including originality, overall design, usage of and demonstrated design proficiency with D-Tools Software.
Winners were announced at CEDIA Expo in Denver, Colorado during the D-Tools Design Awards Ceremony. This was promoted through the trade press and all winning entries will be announced via a press release that will be distributed to the press after the ceremony.
Atea – Hotel Project – Submitted by Christian Brondbo
Project overview: Design and installed new conference hotel in Norway containing conference hall, 11 meeting rooms and a skybar. Utilized insert drawing and replace products features and exported all data into Autodesk Revit to produce 3D drawings in addition to D-Tools Schematics.
- Atea – d’Angleterre Hotel – Submitted by Peter Meyer
Project overview: Complete overhaul of 1870’s era neoclassical hotel to equip all meeting room facilities with large monitors, projectors and screens along with transmitted audio for restaurants, lounges, spa/ fitness and club.
- Sound Stage, Inc. – Florida Conference Project – Submitted by Joe Forbes
Project overview: Florida Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist relocation. Conference room lighting and video for broadcast truck along with video wall, projection, presentation, camera automation and recordings needed for board and conference rooms.
- Hausba Smarthomes Limited – Palm Spring Villa – Submitted by Chibuzo Nwankpo
Project overview: Full automation of a residential 3-story villa comprising IP surveillance, smart sighting, AC control, whole house AV distribution and fire/intrusion alarm system.
- Noise – Home Automation Project – Submitted by Marcello Matera
Project overview: Whole home automation in 3-story residential building, located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
- VanWert Technology Design – New Construction Project – Submitted by David VanWert
Project overview: AV integration within new 5,000 sq. ft. home located in Beverly Hills, Ca.
